Phyllis Ann Spencer (Slavik) ~ June 23, 1927 - April 24, 2016 Phyllis Ann Spencer (Slavik), age 88, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2016 at TowerLight Senior Living in St. Louis Park. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Robert and three siblings. She is survived by son Gary Spencer, daughter Jeanne Rose (Stephen), granddaughter Stephanie Rose Ness (Anders), granddaughter Taylor Rose and sisters Dolores Fierst and Darlene Wendt. A gathering of family and friends to remember Phyllis will be held on Friday, April 29 from 1:00 pm 3:00 pm in the Lakewood Garden Mausoleum at Lakewood Cemetery, 3600 Hennepin Ave S, Minneapolis. A private interment, attended by her immediate family, will take place. The family wishes to express its gratitude to Darlene Wendt for all the love, care and kindness she provided to Phyllis in recent years but especially during the past year. The family also wishes to acknowledge the compassionate care provided by the attendants at Tower Light. Memorials preferred to Alzheimer's Association of Minnesota. www.cremationsocietyofmn.com
