Bio

Veronica Catherine was born December 17, 1917 in Bellwood, Nebraska to Peter C. and Rose (Hilger) Hiller. In 1935 she was living with her family on a farm in Butler County, Nebraska, but by 1940, she and her older brother, Francis, were living on Harney Street in Omaha. He was working as a plumber's assistand, and Veronica, who had by that time completed her first year in college, was working as a clerk in "rentment" accounting. She married Robert Joseph Becker.
