Bio
VICTORIA - Gus E. Hodon Jr., 77, passed away April 13, 2016. Gus was born on March 6, 1939 in Coupland, Texas, to the late Gus and Mildred Filla Hodon. He served in the U.S. Air Force between 1957 and 1961 and was stationed in Germany where he met his wife Margarete. Together, Gus and Margarete raised two sons and took pride in their accomplishments. Gus retired in 1995 after 34 years in the lumber and building supply industry. He enjoyed his Dallas Cowboys, barbequing, fishing, woodworking, remodel projects, classic and western movies, and spending time with his children and grand-children. He is survived by his wife of over 54 years, Margarete Hodon, his sons Russell Hodon, and Chuck Hodon and wife, Sally. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Justin Hodon, two sisters, Delores Kubala of Taylor, Texas and Alice Labaj of Round Rock, Texas, and five nieces. Funeral services will be held on, April 16th 2016 at 1:00 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel in Victoria with Reverend Hejl officiating. A private Interment will be held at a later date in Victoria.
