Bio

William A. Adams, 80, of Anderson died April 4, 2016, at Countryside Manor after an extended illness. He was born Oct. 28, 1935, in Longview, Texas, one of 11 children born to Leo and Opal Estelle (Evans) Adams. He retired as a truck driver, which he did for over 30 years with his beloved wife, Anna, as his team partner. He was a member of Elm Grove Christian Church. He is survived by his daughter, Annie Gwen Steward of Anderson; son, Randy (Kathy) Paris of Florida; four sisters, Janell, Pat, Shirley and Laura, two brothers, Larry and Leslie all of Longview, Texas; sisters-in-law, Alta Crawford and Judy Perry of Anderson and several nieces and nephews in Indiana and Texas. He was beloved "Pops" to Scott S. Zachary, Jr. whom he raised as his son, and seven other grandchildren in Florida; two great-grandchildren in Florida and two great-grandchildren in Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna (Coffman); two sisters, Eloise and Carolyn; and two brothers. Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the funeral arrangements.
