Rhylan Schneider, 79, of Thorndale passed away Sunday, October 1, 2006 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday, October 6, 2006 at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 10 AM Saturday, October 7, 2006 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale with Pastor James Mann officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery. Rhylan was born on December 30, 1926 to Oscar and Ella (Hunecke) Schneider in Bartlett, Texas. He was a business man and had thirty five years of service with Alcoa. Everybody knew him as "T.V. Schneider". He always stood up for what he thought was right and was the "swing vote" on the Facilities and Needs committee for building the high school in Thorndale. Rhylan adored and worked hard for his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Irene Schneider of Thorndale; a daughter, Patricia "Pat" Hopkins and husband, Mike of Kingwood, TX.; one sister, Lydia Cardwell of Oceanside, CA.; three grandchildren, Nathan Hopkins and wife, Mindy of Kingwood, TX., Aaron Hopkins of College Station, TX., and Jordan Hopkins of Tuscaloosa, AL.; great-granddaughter, Avery Hopkins of Kingwood, TX.; four nephews and two nieces. Pallbearers will be Nathan Hopkins, Aaron Hopkins, Jordan Hopkins, Preston Peterson, Nolan Patschke, and David Fuessel. Memorial may be made to "Our Forever Family", P.O.
