Mrs. Zena Arnold Dies; Sweetwater Services Today Roscoe - Mrs. Zena Marilda Arnold, Nolan County resident since 1915, died at 5:30 a.m. Friday in Simmons Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater where she had been a patient three weeks. She had been in ill health two years. Funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Roscoe Church of Christ, with J. B. Hudson, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery under direction of Wells Funeral Home. Born Oct. 7, 1882 in Hood County, she was married Dec. 27, 1903 in Granbury. They had farming interests north of Roscoe until the time of his death in 1940. She came to Nolan County from Johnson County in November, 1915. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Rex Gilland of El Paso; five sons, Rhodes and Louis of Roscoe, Ira C. of Burbank, Calif., Flloyd of El Paso and Lloyd of Snyder; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Carmichael of Cleburne and Mrs. G. A. Molder of Sweetwater; a brother, J. B. Rhodes of Austin; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be D. S. and Curtis Riggs, Jesse Faust, John Gray, Herman Heine and C. F. Rose.
