Ben F. Davis, 89, Dies Last Rites Are Held Tuesday Benjamin F. Davis, 89, retired farmer of Edna, died at his home at 509 East Division St. Sunday. He had been ill three weeks. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p. m. from the Slavik Funeral Home and burial was in the Edna Cemetery. Mr. Davis was a native of Illinois, coming to Jackson County in 1889. He was born May 18, 1862. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Davis of Edna; four sons, Eddie Davis of Edna, B. F. Davis Jr. and Wallace Davis of Freeport and Roy Davis of Little Rock, Ark.; a daughter, Mrs. Mary J. Koenig of Ganado; a half brother, Fred Davis, and a sister, Mrs. W. F. French of Graham.
