Bio

Gerald David Stripling was born on January 15, 1933, in Dallas County, Texas, the child of Willie David "Bill" and Lennie Jennie Pitts Stripling. The earlier part of his life, he lived in Goose Creek, Texas. He attended Ashbel Smith Elementary, Horace Mann Junior High School, and Robert E Lee High School. He served during the Korean War in the United States Navy aboard the USS Indiana. He married Carol Mae Hendrix on February 8, 1958. He and Carol had one son, Bryan Lee Stripling. Gerald died on August 17, 1968, in Michigan, at the age of 35.
