Born Olive Eleanor Jeffers, she was nicknamed "Odd" early on because one of her younger brothers could not say Olive. So she was Odd to all who knew her. She was the third child of the 16 born to Earl Jeffers & Mary Elizabeth Myrtle Orr Jeffers . Odd was born and raised around Council Bluffs, Iowa. She married Samuel Ross Dugan May 16, 1936 in Pacific Junction, Iowa. They had three daughters; Beverly June, Patricia Ann, Janice Marie Dugan. And ten Grandchildren. Sam & Odd lived in Iowa until 1953 when they moved to Southern California. She was great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She spent her life caring for her family. She showed her love for family in many ways. Always involved with children and grandchildren. She was the family historian. Her beloved Sam passed away March 30, 1986. After his death Odd's health began to deteriorate. Odd was a breast cancer survivor. She had one breast removed, but Odd won that fight. Later the battle was Diabetes. Eventuality she was not able to care for herself. She moved one last time to live with her Daughter Patricia in Washington State.
