Bio

Born in KY to Charles (a druggest) and Mary A. Tane Knight. Grew up in Petosi, WI. Married Samuel Thomas Wise in Petosi, WI, in 1858. (Was reportedly engaged to Ulysses S. Grant several years prior)) She, family, and parents moved back to KY just as Civil War broke out. When her father died in 1870, the family, along with her mother, moved to MO.
