Henry Jasper Johnson was born in Gibson Co., TN to Benjamin J Johnson and Mary Patterson. On 1850 Gibson Co., TN census, Henry is residing with his parents and 8 siblings. On February 11 1864, Henry Jasper Johnson married Caroline Young in Marshall Co., KY. On 1870 Birmingham, Marshall Co., KY census, Henry is residing with wife Caroline and 3 children. On 1880 Briensburg, Marshall Co., KY census, Henry and Caroline have 5 children. On 1900 Gilbertsville, Marshall Co., KY census, Henry and Caroline have 3 children. Abt 1913, Henry was in bad health and was placed in the Franklin County Kentucky Alms House. Henry Jasper Johnson and Caroline Young had 7 known children: (1) Mary E Johnson, 1864 (2) Martha M Johnson Culp, 1865 (3) Alice Johnson, 1870 (4) William L Johnson, 1872 (5) Wiley Hastings Johnson, 1875 (6) Henry W Johnson, 1881 (7) Viola Johnson, 1884.
