Frieda L. Hansen, 90, of Temple, died Monday, March 7, 2016, in William R. Courtney State Veterans Home in Temple. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m., at Bellwood Memorial Park with Dr. Rodney Kruse officiating. Frieda was born in Rogers, Texas, to the late Jefferson Davis Good and Selma Patzke Good. She graduated from the Hillcrest Nursing School as a Registered Nurse. Frieda served in the U.S. Army during World War II. She married Willie Hansen on December 17, 1953. She worked as an Operating Room Nurse in the V.A. Hospital. She lived in Cedar Springs, Waco, and Marlin, before moving to Temple. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie, on December 11, 2007. Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Hansen, of Jersey City, New Jersey, and Carlene McEwin and her husband, Kyle, of Southlake, Texas; son, Gary Hansen, of Temple; grandchildren, Aaron and his wife, Valerie, and Matthew and his wife, JaNaé; and great-grandchildren, Nathan McEwin and Elliott McEwin.
