Bio

Barbara Korff Stone, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother died peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2016, surrounded by family. She passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 6, 1942, in Woodsboro, Texas to Ervin and Minnie Korff. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ervin Korff Jr., a sister, Ida Salch, and two brothers-in-law, Herbert Salch and Danny Salch. She married the love of her life in 1961 and together they shared 54 years of marriage. She is best remembered by those who loved her for her passion and devotion to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and embroidery. Services will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral home in Calallen. Visitation will be Monday, March 21, 2016, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and the funeral will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown.
