PANA NEWS-PALLADIUM Pana, Christian County, Illinois Thursday, July 9, 1964 pg 1, column 8 FATHER OF PANA MAN DIED WEDNESDAY IN HILLSBORO HOSPITAL Charles Clifford Miles, 83, of Irving, father of Charles A. Miles and brother of Clarence Miles, both of Pana, died at noon Wednesday, July 8, 1964 in the Hillsboro hospital. He was born in Sinclair (sic) county, Aug. 31, 1881, a son of the late Adolph & Mary Carter Miles and was marriedto Lela Abernathy who preceded him in death. Surviving besides the son and brother of Pana, are sons Harry of Clearbrook, Minn. and Roy of Irving, a daughter, Mrs. Sceva Musser, Woodhall, sisters Sceva Miles, Ohlman, Mrs. Delsey (sic) Beatty, Stonington, and Mrs. Alma Wilson of Butler; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. One son preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at the McCracken Funeral Home with burial in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home after 3:00 p.m. Friday.
