Bio

Velma Alice Keys, 83, died Sunday at Galena Park Home, Peoria Heights. Born July 25, 1907, in Silver Creek, Neb., to John and Rebecca Doolitle Fitch, she married Wilson Keys in Glenwood, Iowa, July 31, 1924. He died in Florida on April 22, 1973. Two sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Woolley of Peoria Heights, Mrs. Robert (Dorothea) Jensen of East Peoria and Mrs. Joseph (Marilyn) Stowell of Peoria; one son, Paul Keys of Peoria; and two brothers in California. She had worked in school cafeterias in Streator. She died Sunday Jan 27, 1991 with publication Monday Jan. 28, 1991 in the Peoria Journal Star Evening Edition, page C-7.
