Bio

Alene Montie Storey, 91, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on August 11, 1924 in Roll, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Perry H and Montie (Mary) Ivy. Alene went to hold her heavenly fathers hand on March 4, 2016 at Elk City Nursing Center, Elk City, Oklahoma. Alene married her best friend and one true sweetheart, William H. Storey Sr. on May 3, 1957 in El Centro, California. William preceded her in death on April 15, 2005. She worked most of her life as a home day care operator who gave love and care to many children in the Elk City area. She retired from this in 1978. Alene enjoyed doing many things like watching soap operas, going to yard sales, playing games and keeping her house immaculate, but most of all she treasured the time she had with her grandchildren, family and friends. Alene is survived by her two sons, William Storey Jr. of Elk City, Oklahoma and Walter Storey and his wife, Ruth of Weatherford, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Colene Peck and Darlene McClendon and her husband, Gene all of Elk City, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by husband, William H. Storey Sr.; two sons, infant son Michael and Perry Williams; one daughter, Brenda Dean; parents, Perry and Montie Ivy; sister, Nadine Williamson. Funeral services ~ Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Main Street Baptist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. Interment was at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, 600 W. Country Club Blvd, Elk City, Oklahoma 73644.
