Bio

Opal J., went to be with the Lord on Sept. 23, 2008. She was born to Lester and Gertrude Roberson on April 8, 1927 in Slick, OK. Opal was a longtime member of Crossroads Cathedral and enjoyed attending church every chance she got. She enjoyed cooking, painting, playing Bingo and spending time with her family. Opal is survived by her husband of 34 years, Fred Coleman. Together they shared 5 children, Shirley Preston and husband Darrell, Jerry Jefferson, Mike Jefferson, Connie Toby, Keith Coleman and wife Amber. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren two sisters, Betty Haskin and Marcy Orr. A service in celebration of Opal's life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 at Crossroads Church. Published in The Oklahoman on Sept. 25, 2008
