C.H. Covert Dies At Ord; Services Are Held Tuesday Funeral services for Clinton Henry 'Bud' Covert were held at the Hastings-Pearson Chapel, Tuesday. Mr. Covert died Feb. 18, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Harvey Thomsen. He had been bedfast the past ten and one-half years. The Rev. Clarence R. Campbell officiated at the 2 pm service. Mrs. Sharon Fuss sang “Beautiful Isle” and “Rock of Ages”. Mrs. Shirley Karre was the organist. Pallbearers were George Nay, Art McClain, Cash Rathbun, Robert Timmerman, Emil Barta and Joe Knapp. Burial was in the Ord City Cemetery. Mr. Covert was born near Ord, Aug. 20, 1888. His parents were Henry and Nancy (Wigent) Covert. He lived in Washington state from 1890 until 1914 when he returned to Ord where he farmed until becoming ill. He was never married. He is survived by one brother Jim of Ord; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Thomsen of Ord and Mrs. Velna Jacobs of Racine, Wis., and several nieces and nephews.
