Worm, of El Cajon, Calif., died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at St. Paul's McCall Hospice Center in San Diego, Calif., losing her battle with cancer. Services are pending with Ord Memorial Chapel in Ord. Ms. Worm was born on Nov. 6, 1942, at Ord to Arlie and Maxine (Zulkoski) Worm. Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter, JoAnne Beck of San Diego, Calif.; a son, Jesse Beck of Auberry, Calif; a special friend, Gary Diehl of El Cajon, Calif.; her mother and stepfather, Maxine and Don Simpson of Wood River; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sandra Worm of Lincoln, and Jerrlyn and Doug Shupe of Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Kevin and Robbie Simpson of Broken Bow, Okla., and Bill Simpson of Wood River; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Worm of Grand Island. Also surviving are four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, 10 nieces and nephews, and seven great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Arlie Worm; a brother, Jesse Worm; and a son, John Beck. The Grand Island Independent - Nov 20 2004
