Grand Island (Nebraska) Nebraska December 1976 Mrs. Emma McCord, 60, of 1916 N. Huston died Wednesday at a local hospital. Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. McCord was born Oct. 5, 1916, at Grand Island, the daughter of Bert and Tena Heesch Yocum. She attended school and grew up here. On April 24, 1939, she married Oliver McCord in Grand Island. They made their only home here. Mrs. McCord is survived by her husband; two sons, Wesley of Kearney and Jimmy of Grand Island; a daughter, Mrs. Allan (Cherl) Ott of Grand Island; four brothers, Donald, Edward, Fred and Bert Yocum, all of Grand Island; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Speck and Mrs. Delores Knox, both of Grand Island, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
