Shirley Jean (or "Jeannie" as she was called) was born to Roberta Inez and Don Richardson on March 13, 1967 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was their only child together, although she had two sister from her mother, which she loved and helped raise. She lived in numerous states, including Texas, Nevada, California, Alaska and New York during her young life. She was the cherished older sister to Delores "Dee" Petrulo (b 1957) and Annette Joyce Petrulo Wright (b 1960). She graduated from the High School of Art and Design in NYC and became a fashion designer until her untimely death when she was killed as a motorcycle passenger in the Bronx, NYC, a couple of weeks after her 19th birthday. She took obstacles in her life and used them to grow stronger, and influenced her sisters to do the same thing. This gift never goes unrecognized. She exhibited Christ-like features, emanating from the beauty and light within. Her smile and her laughter were contagious and she never had a bad word to say about anyone. She has always been missed, but her legacy lives on. Thank, Jeannie for all you were and continue to be in our hearts. -- penned by her youngest sister, Annette Joyce Petrulo Wright.
