A.G. "Armon Grant" Housewright, 78, retired from Dykes Heating and Air Conditioning Co., died Sunday, December 27, 1998, at a local hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Baptist Church of Fort Worth. Burial: Wednesday at Laurel Land Memorial Park of Dallas. A. G. "Armon Grant" Housewright was born Aug. 31, 1920, in Wylie. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was active with his Sunday School Class. He will be missed by all his family and many friends. Survivors: Wife of eight years, Vera Bewley Housewright of Fort Worth; sons, Ricky Housewright of Fort Worth and Jerry Bailey of Tulsa' daughter, Darlene Massengill of Amarillo; step-daughters, Sandra Walker of Hurst and Linda Bowles of Garland; and a host of grandchildren and great'grandchildren. Housewright, 78, a former resident of Tulia, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, in Fort Worth. Mr. Housewright worked at the Willson-Nichols Lumber Yard in Tulia for 22 years before moving to Las Vegas where he had his own heating and air conditioning business. When his wife of 48 years, Non, became ill, they moved to Fort Worth where she died in 1988. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Fort Worth where he played the piano for his Sunday school class. He earned and received his high school diploma at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Vera, of the home and three children, Ricky Housewright of Fort Worth, Darlene Massengill of Amarillo and Jerry Bailey of Tulsa, ten grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew, respected and loved him.
