Nettie Walkup Dies; Funeral Set for Today Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Walkup, 64, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the King Memorial Methodist Church, with the pastor, Rev. Ivan E. Allen, in charge. Mrs. Walkup died at 5 p.m. Friday at the Childress General Hospital. Burial will be in the Childress Cemetery and pallbearers will be Orville Thornton, Joe Crain, Marvin Teague, Raymond Lassen, Ernest Lee and Jack Webb. Mrs. Walkup was born September 4, 1898, in Palo Pinto County, Texas. She moved here from Gordon, Texas, in 1925, and married T.E. Walkup that year in Stephenville. Survivors include her husband of the home at 1004 C Ne.; three sons, Lloyd and George Walkup, both of Childress; Troy Walkup of Amarillo; one daughter, Mrs. Faye Mize of Fort Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Dixon and Mrs. Stella Keegan, both of Fort Worth; and a brother, William A. Wallace of Carlsbad, N.M.; and eight grandchildren.
