GEORGE WILLIAMS George Williams, one of the aged and long-time residents of Plattsburg, died Tuesday morning of this week. Mr. Williams had not been in good health for several months. He was taken ill Sunday, and although he was thought to be getting along quite well, his death occurred Tuesday morning. Mr. Williams was 84 years old. He was born at old Haynesville in the southeast part of Clinton county, but had spent most of his life in the Plattsburg community. For a number of years he had assisted many residents of Plattsburg in keeping their lawns and helping with other work about the homes. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Medford E. Speaker, and burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery. Surviving are two sons and three daughters: Lee Williams, Mrs. Stella Livingston, Mrs. John {Carrie} Musser, and Mrs. Rose Burton of Plattsburg, and James Williams of Stanberry.
