I Corinthians 13:13- So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. EVS Ruth Marie (Leschber) Kieschnick, of Austin, TX, passed away in her home of 69 years on February 5, 2016. She is on her journey to our Lord Jesus Christ, to be with her beloved Gus. She was born January 13, 1924 in Walburg, TX, and baptized February 3, 1924 the 2nd daughter of 5 to Marie (Doering) Leschber and F.R. Leschber. She was married to Gus Kieschnick on November 10, 1946 in Walburg, TX. She was a homemaker for many years, then worked at Tracor Inc. for 18 years. Her greatest joys were her family and her extended church family, always witnessing for Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gus; twin children: Landon and Linda Kieschnick; son-in-law, Paul Gersch, and her sisters, Mildred Schwausch and Elaine Southerland. Ruth is survived by daughter, Donna Gersch of Smithville, TX, son, Randolph and his wife Dorene of McKinney, TX, son, Paul Kieschnick and wife Barbara of Georgetown, TX; also her sisters, Geraldine Sparks and her husband Charles of Arlington, TX and Edna Brown of Houston, TX. Ruth is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty -two great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Ruth's confirmation verse was I Timothy 6:12- Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. EVS Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the evening, on Thursday, the 11th of February 2016, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:30pm in the afternoon, Friday, the 12th of February at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1500 W Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78757.
