Melba Doan Bunn was born on 24 May 1907, in Quitman, Nodaway, Missouri, United States, her father, William Winfield Bunn, was 32 and her mother, Ada Viola Seely, was 23. She married Franklin Andrew Lofflin on 17 December 1924, in Buchanan, Missouri, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 daughters. She lived in Elwood, Doniphan, Kansas, United States in 1930 and Saint Joseph, Buchanan, Missouri, United States in 1940. She died in November 1983, in Laramie, Albany, Wyoming, United States, at the age of 76.
