Bio
Louis never married and never had any children. His father was Ole Johnson (b. May 13, 1845 d. Jan. 11, 1936) and his mother was Lena (Holland)(b. Nov. 12, 1867 d. May 8, 1944) Both lived and were buried in Hampton, Iowa. His mother Lena was the daughter of Johan Oye (Oen) born June 10, 1841 in Valders, near Etnedal, Norway, he was the son of Mikkel Anderson Oye 1809-1889 Norway and mother Signe Gudbrandsdatter 1806-1892 Norway. His mother Lena was the daughter of Guri Holen, born August 10, 1841 in Valders, near Etnedal, Norway, she was the daughter of Mikkel O. Holen born 1801 and Ragnhild Henriksdatter 1815 - 1885 Norway. Johan Oye and Guri Holen were married on January 27, 1866 in Valders, Norway. Johan went to Franklin County, Iowa in 1880, and took a job doing carpentry work to pay for his wife and six children to come to America in 1881. In 1887 they changed their last name to Holland.
