Lake Charles American Press 8-3-2014. Age 77. Hixson Funeral Home Ruby Loftin Frazier, 79, of DeRidder, Louisiana entered eternal peace on Friday, August 1st, 2014 in DeRidder, Louisiana. She was born in DeRidder in 1935. After being raised in Rosepine she married and moved around with her husband's work until she returned to DeRidder in 1999. She enjoyed crocheting and always made blankets for her new grandbabies. She had a love for poetry and some of her poetry had been published. She will be remembered as being a strong willed and a survivor. Mrs. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Reginald and Gussie Craft Loftin; two husbands, Owen Melvin Frazier and James Robinson; and one sister, Betty Jo Cooley. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are three sons, Lee Frazier of Rosepine, LA, William E. "Billy" Frazier of Reeves, LA, and Roy Charles Frazier of Dallas, TX; four daughters, Betty Yvonne Perkins of DeRidder, LA, Anna Marie Connor of Daniels, WV, JoEllen Howell of Rosepine, LA, Wendy Patrice Cabading of Shreveport, LA; two brothers, David Roy Loftin of Roepine, LA and Bill Loftin of Rosepine, LA; one sister, Bonnie Dale Thompson of Rosepine, LA; fifteen grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will begin on Sunday, August 3rd, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA, and from 9:00 am on Monday, August 4th, 2014 until the time of service at 10:00 am with Brother Luke Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at Lewis Cemetery.
