Bio

The date of birth for Caroline is a guess. She was the eldest daughter of Captain Joseph Hill and Hannah Pearl. Her parents, Joseph and Hannah were married August 14, 1808 in NY and both were deceased by December of 1816. There were three known children born to Joseph and Hannah. They were Caroline (born 1809-1810), Frances Louisa (born January 28, 1812) and Charles T. Hill (born April 10, 1814). At some point between 1816-1828, some of the family moved to Mississippi. In January of 1828, Caroline Hill married John Parker at the home of Capt. George Sheriff and his wife Isabella Pearl Sheriff in Hancock County, MS. Isabella Pearl Sheriff was Caroline's maternal aunt. Caroline apparently died sometime between 1843 - 1846.
