MINERAL WELLS - Frank Simmons of Mineral Wells, 76, a retired store owner and a rancher, died Wednesday at a Mineral Wells hospital after a long illness. Mr. Simmons was born in Charlie, Clay County, and lived in Mineral Wells since 1970. He owned Gibson's Discount Store in Mineral Wells before retiring and becoming a rancher. He was a member of the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Posse, the Masonic Lodge and the Moslah Shrine Temple in Fort Worth. Survivors: Wife, Leola Simmons of Mineral Wells; daughter, Linda Armstrong of Bryan; two stepsons, Walter Scott of New Braunfels and Steve Scott of Phoenix; sister, Edna Law of Lafayette, La.; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
