Frances Marie Hudson Vsetecka, 76, of Dayton, passed into eternal life, Friday January 1, 2016 in Houston, Texas, encompassed by her family. Frances was born October 15, 1939 in Carthage, Panola County, Texas to her parents, Walter Jeff and Juanita Lovil Hudson. Local services for Mrs. Vsetecka were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Pastor Mike Chadwick officiated. Services in Carthage, Texas were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday January 7, 2016, at Hawthorn Funeral Home,with Pastor Rodger Cole officiating. Frances was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Juanita Hudson and her brother: Billy Walter Hudson. Mrs. Vsetecka was a graduate of Carthage High School, she attended Kilgore College , as well as the University of Texas-Arlington. Fran was a caseworker for the state of Texas until her retirement and was a member of First Baptist Church in Dayton. Mrs. Vsetecka had resided in Dayton for 20 years. She loved working with appliques, sewing and painting. Fran also loved to retell stories about her children and grandchildren. Frances will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
