Gloria Nell Tebo went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2012.She is survived by her daughter Chironne Desmond and her husband Art, and their daughters Whitney & Haley; her son Karl Tebo and his wife Victoria and son Devin; daughter-in-law Renee Tebo and her son Cameron & daughter Madison; and her brother Gaston Hix. In God's Heavenly Kingdom, she has now joined her loving husband of 44 years, Richard "Dick" Chiron Tebo, and her son Richard "Rik" Clark Tebo.Gloria was born on February 7, 1926 in Clifton, Texas. Her chosen profession was nursing, obtaining her R.N. during WW II preparing to be an Army flight nurse. But the war ended, so she became an obstetric nurse delivering the many babies that soon came. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Houston where she became a Head Obstetrics Nurse and also helped Dr. Michael DeBakey open a recovery room for transitioning heart patients. At the end of her career, she was a long time school nurse for SBISD.While working & completing her B.S. degree at University of Houston, she met Dick Tebo. They married in 1953, and right before their children came, they moved to their Spring Branch home of 41 years. The home had acreage for Gloria to do the flower & vegetable gardening that she loved, for the kids (and variety of animals) to play, and for the many parties she gave. Actively involved in her children's school years, Gloria would be the homeroom mom, head mom for the sport of the season, etc. In 2001, she moved to The Terrace, a retirement community, where she had many friends. She really enjoyed people and was involved in many activities until recently. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
