Tejral - Agnes A. Scharf, 86, Lyons, widow of Leonard, died Wednesday (2/14/2001). Born, southwest of Valparaiso (3/7/14), to Joseph and Blanche (Dolezal) Scharf. 1928 graduate, District 49 Country School. Married to Leonard (12/3/35), St. Theresa's Church, Lincoln. Farmed with husband, Saunders County, until 1946. Moved to a farm north of Lyons. Moved east of Lyons, 1949, and built the Lyons Motel, which they operated from 1956-95. Member, St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Active in the Altar Society, where she was president for one year. Enjoyed cooking and was known for her apple pies and kolaches. Survivors: children, spouses, Erma and Floyd Schnegelberger, Omaha, Leroy and Judy Tejral, Beatrice; David and Alyce Tejral, Genoa; grandchildren, Marcie Schnegelberger, Jim Tejral, Ron Tejral, Jeff Tejral, Cindy Tejral, Mary Tejral, Chris Tejral, Rebecca Tejral; sisters, brother-in-law, Blanche and Clarence Drews, Malmo, Alice Strizek, Valparaiso; sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Scharf, Schuyler, Anne Scharf, Lincoln; brother-in-law, Larry Gottula, Bennet; several nieces and nephews; many friends, including Theresa Spader and David La Plante. Preceded in death by husband; parents; brothers, Vladamil, Adolph and Bill; sisters, Adeline Gottula, Josephine Nalezinek. Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Lyons. Jim Kramper. Lyons Cemetery. Pallbearers: Marcie Schnegelberger, Jim Tejral, Ron Tejral, Jeff Tejral, Cindy Tejral, Mary Tejral, Chris Tejral, Rebecca Tejral. Honorary pallbearers: Agnes' nieces and nephews. Parish rosary: 7 p.m. Monday, church. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Sunday; 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, both at Piper Funeral Home, Lyons; one hour before rosary Monday; one hour before services Tuesday, both at the church. Members of the St. Joseph's Altar Society will prepare a lunch, following the graveside service, in Eimers Hall, lower level of the church.
