Bio

Bernon D. “Bun” Conn, 69, of Somerset, died on December 28, 2015 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born April 22, 1946 in Confluence, he is a son of the late Lester and Mae (Shroyer) Conn. He is also preceded in death by his grandson Michael Scarmack; brothers Alvin, Jacob, Warren “Chub”, and Thomas Conn; and sisters Jacqueline Conn and Pearl Oakman. Bun is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda (Nightingale) Conn; daughter Kristy Scarmack and grandson Stephen Scarmack of Somerset; and sisters Laura Conn of Somerset, Melda Wilson and husband Paul of Confluence, Sandra “Kay” Sabin of Vermillion, OH, and Dana Troup and husband Dennis of Somerset. Bun was a graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley High School, a veteran of the US Army in the Vietnam War, and an employee of Somerset Hospital. Friends will be received from 3-8 PM Friday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, pastors John and Linda Stoner officiating. Interment with military honors accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard at Highland Cemetery in Garrett.
