Clifford W. Read, 86, passed away Monday, August 25, 2008. He was born in Akron, Colorado, November 2, 1921. Cliff was employed by Northern Natural Gas Co. He was a Veteran of WWII having served in the army from 1942 to 1946. He was a Sergeant and had earned the Bronze Star Medal. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David in 1992 and daughter, Karen in 2005 and two sisters. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Perry American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Read of Perry; son, Keith and wife Sue Read of Olathe, Kansas; brothers, Dale and Martin Read both of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Danyel Read of Chicago and Mikelle Read of Olathe; other relatives, Tess and husband Vic Malchasky of Colorado Springs and very special nieces and nephews.
