Bio

Gonzales Inquirer Dec. 12 1918 Yoakum Boy Killed While sitting in a Y.M.C.A. hut in France, writing letters to loved ones at home, in company with his cousin and a friend, Henry Goode of headquarters company, 360th infantry-a-Yoakum boy-was instantly killed by a bomb dropped by German aviators. His cousin, John F. Garrett, was seriously wounded. The bombing occurred Oct. 1, 1918.-Yoakum Herald.
