Bio

Death Claims Rev. W. J. Wilemon and Grandson. The death of Rev. W. J. Wilemon early Monday morning removed another good citizen from the walks of life in this county. His death occurred at his home on route 2, Oneonta, in the community where he had spent the greater part of his life. Bro. Wilemon was a minister in the M. E. church and had been preaching for perhaps thirty-five or forty years. Part of this time he was a member of the Conference but most of his preaching was done in Blount County. The deceased was about 69 years of age. His grandson, Wesley Wilemon, a young man about 16 years of age, died on the night preceding his grandfather's death and the funeral services over both were held at the same time at Antioch Cemetery. The services were conducted by Revs. A. J. Brand and P. J. Jordan. [The Southern Democrat, December 12, 1918]
