Died at age 15. Parents: Jay Seaborn Morton. Mary Ann Blakely. Jay and Mary married January 16, 1879 in Murphree's Valley, Blount, Alabama. Ida Morton was born 14 May 1882 in Blount County, Alabama, and died 27 Jan 1898 in Blount County, Alabama. She was buried in Antioch Methodist Cemetery, Oneonta, Blount County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Jay Seaborn Morton and Mary Ann Blakely Died - in Hardwick's Beat, Blount county, January 27th, 1898, with dropsy, Miss Ida Morton, aged 15 years 8 months and 15 days. She was a model young lady and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. (The Blount County News and Dispatch, Thursday, February 3, 1898).
