Gail Eugene Stech was born on March 22, 1929, at Russell, IA, to Earl Abe and Effie Viola (Webber) Stech. He grew up in the Millerton, IA, area and graduated from High School. He was united in marriage to Betty Ann Grimm on April, 6 1952, at the United Methodist Church in Des Moines, IA. They moved to Perry and Gail began working at the NAPA Auto Parts store in 1964. His love for helping people kept him working at NAPA until just recently. Gail was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry, where he served as the President of the United Methodist Men and also led the Finance Committee. He loved his grandchildren and keeping in contact with his family. Because of Gail's love for his family he would keep up with technology so that he could see what his grandchildren were doing on Facebook. His mind was always open to new ideas. With his unselfish attitude he was always looking to help others before himself thinking, about the things he needed to get done for them. Gail was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Effie Stech; step-mother, Maude Lee Bone; four brothers, Marvin, Lawrence, Bernard, and Doyle Stech; step-brother, Burl Bone, and step-sister, Delores Hoff.
