Betty Stech, age 86 of Perry, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Rowley Masonic Community in Perry, IA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Perry. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the West Linn Cemetery at Linden, IA. Memorials will be given to the Perry Public Library or the First United Methodist Church and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Betty Ann Stech was born on October 10, 1931 at Cummings, IA to Wayne A. and Viola Pauline (Jenks) Grimm. She attended school in the Linden School System and then Simpson College. After graduation she worked at Bankers Life in Des Moines. She was united in marriage to Gail Eugene Stech at United Methodist Church in Des Moines, IA on April 6, 1952. After they were married she worked at the Sale Barn in Perry and the lunch room for the Perry Schools. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry. She enjoyed helping people, working word puzzle books and spending time with her family and grandchildren. In death she rejoins her husband Gail Stech, parents, Wayne and Pauline Grimm and a sister, Barbara Stech.
