Mattox Services for Elmer Richard Mattox, 72, 116 Shoshone St., who died Sunday morning in a local hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Shepherd Chapel. Reed A. Wilkinson of the Jehovah's Witnesses of Meridian will officiate. Interment will be at Kohlerlawn. Mr. Mattox was born Jan. 14, 1892, in Dry Valley, Neb. He married Bertha Rogers at Broken Bow, Neb. in 1911. She died in 1928. He married Viola Munnson, Sept. 11, 1934, at Seward, Neb. Mr. Mattox was reared in Nebraska, and he moved with his wife and family to Nampa in 1946. He worked as a mechanic for International Harvester of Nampa for 10 years, retiring in 1957. Survivors include his wife of Nampa; five daughters, Mrs. Wanda Paste, Kansas, Mrs. Dorothea Smith, Gothenberg, Neb., Mrs. Bernice Cook, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Helen Graves, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Burndetta Tiser, Nampa; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Janet Williams, Inwokern, Calif.; two sons, Raynold, Terreton, Idaho, and Raymond Mattox, Portland, Ore.; a half-sister, Mrs. Lowell Riggins, Chadron, Neb.; two half-brothers, Frank of Milwaukee, Wis., and Carl Mattox of Portland; 24 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
