Bio

Rachel Duspiva, age 90 of Eden, Idaho, formerly of Lodi, Calif., passed away Aug. 24, 2006, at her home in Eden. Rachel had a great literary talent and wrote many stories and poems throughout her lifetime. Dragons were a favorite subject of these writings, stating this love came from the fact that she was born in 1916, the Year of the Dragon. Many of her stories were illustrated by her own hand. She enjoyed the great classics in literature and music. Her infectious smile and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Rachel was predeceased by her husband, Victor Duspiva; two sisters, Pauline Juett and Ramona Paul, and a brother, Arthur Paul. The family extends its heartfelt thanks to the St. Luke´s Magic Valley Regional Medical Center Hospice team for providing Rachel with tender loving care in the last weeks of her life. Rachel´s ashes will be placed alongside Victor's at the Lodi Memorial Cemetery. At her request, there will be no service.
