Herald Coaster, November 8, 1991: Funeral services for Willie M. Uherek, 81, were held 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manvel. Father Bob Matzinger officiated, with burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Pearland. A rosary was held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Mr. Uherek died Monday at Methodist Hospital in Houston. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manvel. Survivors include three daughters, Helen Valusek of Rosharon, Dorothy Mesecek of Manvel, and Arlene Fojtek of Rosenberg; a son, Gene Uherek of Rosharon; two sisters, Emily Lubojack of Alvin and Agusta Orsak of Manvel; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Larry Valusek, Robby Uherek, Steve Morris, Dan Laver, Don Pruitt, and Morris Bosak. Honorary pallbearer was Gary Vojtek. Services were under the direction of South Memorial Park Funeral Home in Pearland.
