Bio

Robert Lee Meek, MD was born in Bell County, Texas in March of 1871. He was a school teacher in Cherokee County, Texas before becoming a physician. He married Addie Bell Beauchamp Harding in Cherokee County on July 15, 1897. Between 1900 and 1910 the Meeks moved to Arkansas. Two Harding sons, Samuel Houston and Claude Alonzo, also moved to Arkansas. The Meeks had no children together though he may have had children during his previous two marriages. Robert Meek was ten years younger than Bell. After their marriage Bell claimed to be younger than she actually was while Robert claimed to be older than he was. Bell was my 2nd great grandmother.
