Daniel "Danny" Eugene Kubin, 64, passed away in Ennis, Texas, on December 5, 2015. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Boze-Mitchell-Funeral Home in Ennis. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Saint John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father John Dick as Celebrant. The Rite of Committal will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Ennis. Danny was born in Ellis County, Texas, to John Frank Jr. and Antonie "Tonie" (Vrana) Kubin. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and won numerous fishing trophies. He graduated from Saint John School, got an Associate Degree at Navarro College, and was a member of Saint John Catholic Church, and KJT (The Czech Catholic Union of Texas). Danny had many illnesses, but battled them and always came out on top. He was a fighter. He was preceded in death by his father, John Frank Kubin Jr. Survivors include his mother, Tonie Kubin, of Ennis; brother, Leon Kubin and wife, Anita, of Ennis; sisters: Polly Henry and husband, Charlie, of Royce City, Diane Kubin, of Dallas, and Janice Reed and husband, Randy, of Dallas, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
