Rebecca E. Fulmer, 84, of Marana, Ariz., formerly of Oil City, died in her sleep Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006. Born Oct. 4, 1921, in Clarion, she was the daughter of Anthony R. and Ruth K. Cyphert. Mrs. Fulmer had resided in Oil City until 1962. She first was married for 12 years to Orrin H. Foreman Sr., who worked at Oilwell Supply. After his death she married Roy E. Fulmer Sr., who worked for Armour Meat Packing and who preceded her in death June 21, 2003. Mrs. Fulmer was active all her life in the Nazarene Church. While living in Oil City, she did a radio stint with the late Rev. Andrew Jalosky who was well-known for his local radio ministry. She sang and played the accordion and also was part of a quartet for the Rev. Jalosky's church radio program. While in Arizona she played the organ for the church until a couple of years ago when her severe arthritis and other ailments prevented her from continuing her musical interests. Mrs. Fulmer worked for a short time at Kresge's in Oil City. She was a devoted mother and housewife. Surviving are six children, Orrin H. "Scott" Foreman Jr. and wife, Mary, of Iron Station, N.C., Rollin C. "Bud" Foreman and wife, Cheryl, of Rockhill, S.C., Darlene R. Shockley, Elaine R. Carr and husband, Wayne, and Kevin L. Fulmer, all of Marana, Ariz., and Vicki A. Ivy and husband, James, of Florence, Oregon; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fulmer has several relatives still living in Oil City and the surrounding areas including grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many cousins. In addition to her parents and two husbands, Mrs. Fulmer was preceded in death by a son, Roy E. Fulmer Jr., March 24, 1998. Graveside services will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson, Ariz.
