Bio

Karen J. Millikin, 76, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep after many years of battling metastasized breast cancer. Karen was born in Sargent, to Lysle and Guyneth Orvis. She lived in Broken Bow, until 1989 when she moved to Colorado Springs. Karen is survived by her husband of 23 years. Larry C. Millikin; her five children Deb (Ted) Larsen, Colorado Springs, Colo., Kathy (Mike) Kettleborough, Broken Bow, Diana (Rich) Shaw, Spring, Texas, Rod (Beth) Pracht, Broken Bow, Teresa (Bob) Stamp, Cypress, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Karen was in furniture sales and enjoyed meeting people. In later years she volunteered at The American Legion Post 38 assisting the post in any way she could. She also served as the post auxiliary secretary and was a past Auxiliary Historian. Karen was a caring and compassionate lady beloved by all who had the opportunity of knowing her. A memorial service will be at a later date in the spring in Broken Bow. Published in Custer County Chief on Dec. 10, 2015
