Bio

Eunice Neuendorff Kickler, 96, of Lone Oak passed away November 7, 2015 in Columbus. She was born September 17, 1919 to L. P. and Emily (Bock) Neuendorff in Mentz. She married Kermit A. Kickler April 14, 1941 in Frelsburg. Eunice was a homemaker, farmer and rancher and lived most of her lifetime in the Lone Oak area. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Frelsburg, WELCA, and charter member of Boggy Branch Home Demonstration Club. Eunice is survived by her daughter, Janice Houghton of Lone Oak; brothers, Charles Neuendorff and wife Anita of Columbus, Weldon Neuendorff of Brenham, and Virgil Neuendorff and wife Rose of League City; two step grandchildren, Peter Houghton and wife Susan, and Jennifer Houghton; and three step great-grandchildren, David Houghton and fiancée Amanda, Benjamin Houghton, and Caroline Houghton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit A. Kickler, parents, L. P. and Emily (Bock) Neuendorff, sons, Kenneth Kickler and Arthur Kickler, son-in-law, F.P. "Ted" Houghton, and her sister, Viola Hoppe. Funeral services took place Wednesday, November 11, 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Frelsburg with Pastor Glenn E. Hohlt officiating. Burial took place in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Frelsburg. Pallbearers were David Houghton, Ben Houghton, Don Warren, Matthew Neuendorff, Thomas Neuendorff, Brian Findeisen, Ronald Kickler, and Dennis Luedecke.
