Suggested edit: Aurora News-Register, Aurora, NE - Fri, 28 Aug 1959 Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Fowler, 73, were held Tuesday morning at the Higby Mortuary with Dr. Paul B. Porter of Hastings officiating. Interment was made in the Aurora Cemetery. Mrs. Fowler died at the Pioneer Rest Home last Friday. She had been confined to her wheelchair for six years and had been bedfast for six months. The daughter of Alex and Jennie Firth McDouglas (sic), Pearl Lottie Fowler was born in Hamilton county on June 20, 1886. Her childhood was spent on a farm near Aurora. On Feb. 27, 1907, she was united in marriage to Fred Fowler at Aurora. Seven children were born. Mr. and Mrs. Fowler farmed for several years, later moving to Aurora where for many years she operated a home for the aged.
