"Robert J. Masek, 67, of David City, died Monday, November 23, 2015, at the Butler County Healthcare Center in David City. Robert was born September 4, 1948, in David City, Nebraska to Charles and Dorothy(Timms) Masek. He attended school in David City and graduated in 1966 from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, David City, Nebraska. He entered the United States Army and served during the Viet Nam Conflict. In 1970 he married Nancy Supancheck. They had two sons, Jason and Brian, and later divorced. Robert worked for many years at Henningsen Foods in David City. He loved hunting and fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his two sons; Jason (Rhiana) Masek of Corpus Christi, Texas, Brian Masek of David City, one brother, Marty(Pal) Masek of Blair, three sisters;Connie Hickey of Columbus, Chris(Steve) Bartlett and Cathy Trucksa, all of Hickman and two grandchildren; Taylor and Dylan Masek. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Robert J. Masek, 67, Wednesday, November 25, 2015, 11:00 A.M. Kracl Funeral Chapel, David City, Nebraska. Visitation Wednesday 10-11:00 A.M. Memorials family wishes. Committal at a later date. Lunch: Light refreshments following Military Honors at the chapel."
